it is just two days away from raya and still, i have yet to start doing my house spring cleaning
i miss the days where i still living under the same roof with my other siblings cause housework was shared with each of us has the designated roles assigned. between my sis and me, i was not labelled as a good cook, hence, most of my chores would be cleaning the whole house, which i don't complain, cause i like to really scrub the dirt off every corner of the house especially windows. so it is fine. pretty much, i am lacking of skills to cook traditional malay food especially asam pedas (which i am not in favor off, unless it is cook with the fish of my liking. yes i am very fickle). despite the lack of traditional taste, i would say i trained myself to cook chinese as well as western food, so i am not bad of a cook, aye... so it is a blessing in disguise... still remember how my brother would escape from doing so, by going out to geylang with his friends and left us the younger ones to do everything, even the man's job... i would be cleaning my windows, climbing up the ladder while watching the raya variety show peering through my grilles. all because to make our window sparkle and shine... (sparkle + shine? so tacky... really sounds like an advert)
recaping on spring cleaning... why am i dreading it? cause having a house of 'our' (shall not leave out the MR), it is duly our responsibility to do it. no, i am not complaining but i think my work commitment is not as great as it was before. simply because i got major projects coming up and despite the fact that i have applied 3 days of maternity leave that leads to raya, i am still going back to work to follow up on matters. sigh.... wish at this time, i have a maid but on a second thought, i don't see myself ordering my maid to wash dishes, clean the house, take care of my daughter, fold the clothes... lol
moving forward, within the two days, i will speed myself up to
- change my living and bedrooms curtains -- target today
- clear our bedroom -- target today
- change bedsheet -- target today
- iron clothes -- target today
- beautify my balcony -- target today
- flower masterpiece -- friday, 12 oct
- change divider outlook -- friday, 12 oct
- clean + mop the living room + bedrooms -- friday, 12 oct
- scrub the kitchen floor -- friday, 12 oct
- scrub the toilet -- friday, 12 oct
- buy ketupat + lepat -- friday, 12 oct
- fill up the kuihs -- friday, 12 oct
think that would be all.... managed to jot down everything and bless me in doing the duties. and MR if you are reading this post, do help yeah. no need to do anything of the above, just take care of Nadrah and I'll be fine. or at least, please help to scrub the toilet yeah cause u are the best for it.
on a happy note, it is our first time celebrating raya as '3'.... ;)
