today was corporate tree planting day with abacus international and was held at jurong central park that is located opposite Jurong Point. throughout the event, constant droplets of sweats tingling across my forehead.shucks and the worse thing, wearing such corporate t-shirt does not help either; cause it just trapped the hot air within.i tried my very best to look cool since i was the saboed emcee and glad that it was over. my tongue was twisted whenever i have to say 'distinguished guests', pelat betul seh... sungguh memalukan...
the park was supposed to open last year but due to water ponding issues, the launch just keep postponing and postponing
(this is info was gotten from reliable sources, yeah) Anyway, the park is so so so big and its theme is unique. Why? because the park are designed to have 3D games on it. Such amazing feat was the game of snake and ladder. they even construct a clock tower cum dice thrower where for every 6 sec, the clock tower will show the number on the dice for the person to make his/her move. i am glad that nowadays NPARKS has become more dynamics and diverse. So long gone those conventional parks where the common thing that you can find would be the children playground. kudos NPARKs... more to unique and thematics parks. btw, they have included their own label vending machine... can u believe that?
speaking of which, i have planted 3 trees today. definitely not an easy task; though i used to have perceive it otherwise. try do planting, not shrubs not grass but trees. with the cangkul and all, i start to feel for those who are into rice plantation.can u imagine them keep bending at 90 degree or less just to plant the padi for hours? amazing...
pictures? you have to be patient
will upload once adam fwd me our glamourous shot with the cangkuls
